John lived just down the hill from us on Orleans Avenue. As far as I know, John was the adopted son of professor Bowman at Morning Side College. I got more involved with John our senior year at East, and our freshman year at Morningside. He was always happy and had a big smile. I do remember his ears. When I see the actor, Will Smith, I think of John. I have not seen John since our college years and know nothing of his passing.

I remember John Bowman!  He was a nice guy, nice smile!  I'm trying to remember if I knew him from Catholic gradedschool or just East Jr.  and East High Wish I had known he lived out here!!  I've lived in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and now Glendale AZ since 1957!  I'm thrilled he was so loved!  Would love his family to contact me.
