Barbara Jean (Tott) Reed, 68, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her residence following heart surgery.
Abiding by Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Houston.
Barbara Jean (Tott) Reed was born to William and Julia (Rask) Tott, on May 5, 1942, in Sioux City. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School.
She was married to Wayne Hecker. Barb lived most of her adult life in Houston. She later married Harold Reed on Feb. 10, 2003. Barb always had a catering business and enjoyed being around people. For a short time, she came home and managed her mother's business "Pzazz" (formerly Bill's Ballroom) for wedding receptions and parties. She returned to Houston, where she resided until her death.
Survivors include her husband, Harold of Houston; a son, Wayne Hecker Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Dora (Lane) Milken of Austin, Texas; three grandsons, Wayne Hecker III, Zane and Zander Milken; a sister, Julie (Bernie) Anderson of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and two brothers, Bill (Shirley) Tott of Waldron, Mo., and Harold (Sherilyn) Tott of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vernon Tott
